ShareLife Communion Wafers ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through sharelife.org.za, why we collect it and what your rights are. We handle personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

2. What we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional) and the message you write.
- Direct contact: the details you give us when you email, phone or message us.
- Server logs: our hosting server records standard technical details such as your IP address, browser type, and the date and time of your visit.
We collect this information directly from you. Please do not send us sensitive information, such as health details or identity numbers, through the website. This website is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information about them.
3. Why we collect it
We use your information only to:
- reply to your enquiry and give you the quote or service you asked for;
- keep the website secure and working properly;
- meet our legal obligations.
Giving us your information is voluntary. Without your contact details, however, we cannot reply to you.
We do not sell your information. We will only send you marketing if you have agreed to it or are an existing customer, and you can opt out at any time.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run this website and our email, and only as far as they need it:
- our website host, DarkBlue (darkblue.co.za);
- our email provider;
- Google, which provides the map on our contact section, if you choose to show it.
Some of these providers may store or process information outside South Africa. Where that happens, we use providers that are bound by laws or agreements that protect personal information to a similar standard as POPIA. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
5. Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device.
This website does not use tracking, analytics or advertising cookies.
- The map on our contact section is loaded from Google only if you choose Show map. Google may then set its own cookies, as described in Google's privacy policy.
- Spam protection on the contact form runs on our own website and does not use cookies.
You can delete cookies at any time in your browser settings.
6. How long we keep it
Messages sent through the contact form are emailed to us and are not stored on the website. We keep enquiries and related correspondence only for as long as we need them for the purposes above, or for as long as the law requires us to keep records. After that we delete them. Server logs are kept for a limited period by our hosting provider.
7. How we protect it
We take reasonable steps to keep your information safe. The website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection, and access to the website and our mailboxes is limited to the people who need it. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will tell you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.
8. Your rights
Under POPIA you may:
- ask whether we hold personal information about you and ask for a copy of it;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to our use of it;
- withdraw consent you have given;
- opt out of marketing at any time;
- lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
