About us
A small bakery with a big purpose
ShareLife bakes communion wafers by hand from just two ingredients: flour and water. There are no preservatives and no colourants, only simple bread, pressed on traditional baking irons and checked one by one before it is packed.
Our story began in 1997, when founder Barbara Taylor imported our first baking iron from the Netherlands. Baking started in 1998 at the Wesley Community Centre of the Methodist City Mission in Pretoria, and in 2010 ShareLife was formally launched as a job-creation project.
Today our small team supplies churches, parishes and Christian retailers throughout South Africa. Every order you place helps to keep local people in meaningful work.

Courier Collection Across South Africa
Wafers for every congregation
Customers are welcome to arrange collection of their orders using their own preferred courier service. We will ensure your order is securely packed and ready for collection.

Communion wafers (30 mm)
Our standard wafer for the congregation, available in packs of 100, 250 or 500.

Larger wafers for the priest or minister leading the service, in packs of 15.
